Human Development, Communications, and Learning Consultant
Ajaykumar has taught internationally in Finland, France,
Japan, South Asia, and the UK in diverse contexts. His pedagogic research
has been published in Art Design and Communication in Higher Education.
Ajaykumar is currently an academic at Goldsmiths College, University of London. This work vcan be seen at: www.goldsmiths.ac.uk/departments/drama/staff/ajaykumar.php He has developed pioneering learning and communication
programmes for specific contexts in higher education and the community.
His work also involves the development of such programmes for the corporate sector, both in a freelance capacity for LAMDA Business and Roy Leighton Communications and with clients such as the Inns of Court, London. Tony Fagan, Education Director at LIFT commented on one
of his programmes: - Ajaykumar's work particularly involves the use of ICT - information and communications technology; and working with culturally diverse groups of people. This involves a pluralistic adaptation of appropriate methodologies from the creative arts and other disciplines to varied learning contexts. In 2001 and 2002 he was awarded a Goldsmiths Centre for Excellence in Learning Technology Fellowship to pioneer initiatives in the employment of information technology in performance pedagogy: theory and practice. Master’s Degree Programme: part of Goldsmiths' strategic plan for
future development. Ajaykumar is a: Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts; Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society; member of the Higher Education Academy (formerly the Institute of Learning and Teaching); member of the International Society for the Arts, Sciences and Technology.
